Integrated Video Surveillance Management Platform in East China Agrochemical Factory

1. Background of the Project:

Project Name: Agrochemical Factory Integrated Video Surveillance Management Platform

Project Description:

An agrochemical plant in east China is a large-scale chemical enterprise with designated high-tech production and pesticide production. There are more than 2,000 industrial automation control systems and industrial sensors (temperature, humidity, pressure, concentration, etc.) operating independently in the enterprise. Plan to use video, with Gigabit optical network, for monitoring chemical plant production processes and others. The chief control dispatch room needs to realize the centralized monitoring and management of all the video images, and receive the trigger signal of the industrial sensor through the OPC standard and link the related videos.

Application Time: October 2010

2. User Needs:

1) OPC Technology: OPC (OLE for Process Control) is an industry standard. The OPC Foundation manages this standard, now has more than 220 members around the world, including all the world's major automation and control systems, instrumentation and process control systems company. Based on Microsoft's OLE (Active X), COM (Component Object Model), and DCOM (Distributed Component Object Model) technologies. OPC includes a standard set of interfaces, properties and methods for use in process control and manufacturing automation systems.

2) Industrial sensors through the OPC release alarm data, a. Trigger industrial automation and control systems business flow chart, b. Trigger integrated video surveillance management platform will switch the alarm image to the big screen display, and notify the relevant personnel.

3) The main control room to achieve centralized monitoring of all plant images and management.

4) Chemical plant has about 1270 camera points (analog / digital), mostly PTZ camera. When industrial sensor trigger an alarm, the camera rotated to the preset PTZ position. All the 1270 camera points distributed in multiple workshops, each workshop has an independent monitoring host for routine image preview, control, playback and other operations, when the shop has an industrial sensor trigger an alarm, the monitoring host automatically switches to the alarm image and upload image to the Director of the control room.

5) The main control dispatch room has a video wall, of which 32 monitors for the display of any video within the plant, 4 × 46-inch LCD splicing screen is mainly used to connect the workshop sensor alarm linked image, and pop-up e-map shows the alarm position.

6) Some of the important video of the workshop is centrally stored in the supervisory control room.

3. Requirements Analysis:

According to the application requirements of chemical plant, we make the following application analysis:

1) OPC Industry Standard Application

Chemical plant has a large number of professional operation of industrial automation equipment, in order to make industrial automation equipment and video surveillance management platform for collaborative work, Taichen Software must support the OPC industry standard protocol to collect real-time industrial sensor data for industrial automation and control System and integrated video surveillance management platform.

2) Central Management Applications

Taichen Software can interconnect a variety of distributed device information through the network, forming a huge data center management resources for the user's centralized management / control / quick search to provide efficient solutions.

3) Application of Digital Matrix

The Digital Matrix function provided by Taichen Software will connect video images of the center to group arrangement, prepare different reservation schemes and video output schemes, and output them to any TV wall for display.

4) Data Storage Needs

As the huge storage needs of video data, we launched a centralized storage server: Taichen centralized storage server, can access 1-256 video channels, to achieve centralized storage of video images, to ensure the user data security.

5) Multiple Image Access Methods

Taichen Software supports C/S, B/S, mobile client, etc., the real-time preview, group preview, group switching and other operations and strategic response, the preview support 1-64 channels different split screen display mode. The chemical plant regulatory offices, through local optical network, can choose the appropriate video access methods according to the actual situation.

4. Program Implementation

According to the above demand analysis and the actual situation of the user, we make the following configuration for the chief control dispatch room:

1) One central management server: to achieve all the equipment, network connectivity, server configuration, user login authentication and management of basic information settings.

2) One OPC proxy server: used to receive industrial sensors real-time alarm trigger data and forwarding.

3) 4 Digital Matrix servers: A Digital Matrix server can decode up to 64 CIFs each, In this case, we have 4 decoding hosts to decode any video image.

4) One Centralized storage server: In the center, some of the key images for secondary storage.

5) 2 C/S Client Stations: to achieve video preview, playback, backup and other functions. The Client Station is dual display mode, a screen display image monitoring, the other display matrix control.
